The machine is being used for wet corn crimping by big size companies as well as contractors. It is mainly being combined with machines EB-3000S. The crimping is going on either on the field (crimped corn is then transported to the bagging machine or to the bunker) or close to the storage place (bagging machine, bunker).
Transport and machine's drive
Powering of the machine is ensured by PTO shaft from tractor of 120 - 140 HP and 540 RPM. The machine is connected at agro-hitch and is being transported by maximum speed 40 km/hour. The standard equipment of the machine consists of air or hydraulic transport brakes, undercarriage cushioning, mudguards, and lights for road transport.
Corn crimping
Crimping unit consists of 1 pair of rollers with 400mm diameter and 1220mm length. Big diameter of the rollers ensures high corn intake and unit is able to process around 30 - 40 tones/hour. Both rollers have gentle grooving for grain corn (cereals) crimping (wheat, barley, rye, oats, etc.) or the driving roller has deeper grooves for wet maize corn crimping.
The rollers are made of high quality steel, they are fine balanced to have machine without any vibration during the work. Long life of bearings is then warranted. The rollers can be re-grooved - cereal rollers up to 6 times, maize corn rollers up to 4 times.
Safety bouncing of the crimping unit is ensured by 4 springs. The rollers move apart when the unwanted object (little rock, piece of steel, etc.) appears in between the rollers. The gab between rollers (final structure of the crimped material) is set by couple of screws (1 at each side) and check by 2 check points outside the crimping unit.
Material unloading
There is a transport screw below the crimping unit which mixes the crimped material with liquid preservatives and brings material to bucket elevator which unloads material to transport .lines, silage bunkers, carrying trailers, etc. There is an IBC barrel for 1 tone of liquid preservatives already equipped in standard specification. It ensures first of all easy application of additives.
Extra accessories of the machine
The machine is equipped with all necessary facilities for trouble free and convenient work already in the standard. Additionally, for instance, clean out doors of bucket elevator or bigger content hopper or extended elevator or lights for night working or Rotary Throughput Calculator of capacity or transport brakes or horizontal extension of elevator or comfortable kit (water tank, tools) can be equipped upon request.
